Under this scheme (Haryana Chirag Yojana), the government will bear the entire cost of education of those children whose family's annual income is less than Rs 1.80 lakh. Earlier such facility was given under Section 134A but now it has been abolished and Chirag Yojana has been started.

Haryana Chirag Yojana 2025: How many children will get the benefit?

In the first phase of this scheme, the Haryana government will include about 25 thousand children in this scheme. These children will be from class 2 to 12th. That is, any child who is studying in these classes and fulfills all the eligibility criteria can take advantage of this scheme. You can see all the information in the table below.

4. The student must be studying between class 2nd to 12th.
5. This scheme is only for the poor and economically weaker sections.

Haryana Chirag Yojana 2025: In which schools will admission be given?

Not available in every school. Under the Chirag scheme, admission will be given only in those private schools whose name is included in Form 6 issued by the government. 

The government updates this list from time to time. If the child is sent to a particular school by the previous school, then in that case all his documents and information should be updated on the "Datta MIST Portal" (MIS Portal).

Haryana Chirag Yojana 2025: How to apply for Chirag Yojana?

• First of all open the official website of Chirag Yojana https://harprathmik.gov.in/ on your mobile or computer .
• You will find the link to the application form on the homepage of the website, click on it.
• Download the form in PDF and take its printout.
• Now fill that form carefully and attach the required documents mentioned above with it.
• Submit the filled form and documents to the school where you want to take admission.
• Your information will be checked by the school and then you will be given admission as per your eligibility.

Some important things

• There is no fee to apply in this scheme.
• The application process is offline, that is, you have to fill the form and submit it at the school itself.
• While filling the form, it is important to submit all the documents correctly and completely, otherwise the application may get cancelled.
• Apply on time as number of seats are limited (around 25 thousand).
